Strategy 2002-2003

Operations

Our operational priorities for 2002-03 are to:

• continue to improve productivity
• reduce casework completion times, particularly for new titles.

We expect a sustained increase in dispositionary first leases when the Land Registration Act 2002 comes into force in October 2003. From that date the grant or assignment of leases with an unexpired term of 7 or more years will trigger compulsory registration.

Long term, we intend to give all of our staff the opportunity to become fully trained on all types of casework. And we aim to maintain current staffing levels.
